Community Rules & Fair Play

These rules keep Pirate Wars fair, secure, and fun for every crew. By playing, you agree to uphold this charter across chat, combat, and the economy.

Player safety

We moderate all public spaces to keep harassment and hate speech out of the galaxy.

  • PG-13 channels
  • No impersonation
  • Report abuse early

Fair play

Automation, exploits, and account sharing are treated as sabotage.

  • One account per captain
  • No macros or bots
  • Disclose bugs privately

Stable economy

Trades must stay in-game so every faction competes on equal terms.

  • No RMT or cash sales
  • Transparent raffles
  • No cartel price fixing

Secure accounts

Protect your login like it’s your flagship.

  • Unique passwords
  • Enable safety checks
  • Alert support on suspicious access

1. Respect the crew

  • No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse in chat, mail, forums, or clan feeds.
  • Keep language PG-13; innuendo is fine, explicit content isn’t.
  • Impersonating staff or players triggers immediate bans.

2. Fair play

  • No automation, macros, or scripts that interact with your account.
  • One account per captain. Alt armies, stat padding, and account sharing are prohibited.
  • Exploits and bugs must be reported, not abused for profit.

3. Market & economy

  • Item trades must happen in-game; out-of-game currency exchanges are forbidden.
  • Scams or rigged raffles are bannable offenses.
  • Price fixing or cartel behavior that harms new players may be moderated.

4. Combat etiquette

  • Camping new players, griefing jail releases, or coordinated harassment results in penalties.
  • War declarations must follow faction diplomacy rules—no surprise wipes.
  • Match-fixing or staging combat logs to farm rewards is forbidden.

5. Account security

  • Use strong unique passwords and enable every security option.
  • Sharing login info with anyone, including clan leaders, voids account support.
  • Report suspicious access immediately via support.

6. Lore & roleplay

  • Keep faction stories and bios lore-friendly (space piracy + sci-fi themes).
  • Out-of-character drama should stay off public channels.
  • Content that promotes real-world politics or hate groups is disallowed.

Enforcement cadence

Moderators may mute, roll back, or ban accounts that violate these rules. Most penalties escalate, but severe violations (automation, harassment, payment fraud) can result in permanent bans without appeal.

  1. Warning / education: Light infractions receive a reminder and coaching.
  2. Temporary mute or suspension: Repeated misconduct, griefing, or exploit testing.
  3. Account rollback: Removal of illicit currency, items, or stats.
  4. Permanent ban: Automation, hate, payment abuse, or any action that endangers the community.

Appeals & contacts

If you believe an action was incorrect, submit an appeal via contact.php with relevant timestamps, player IDs, and screenshots. Appeals are reviewed by staff outside of the original moderation chain for fairness.

Emergency issues (security breaches, payment fraud) should be escalated immediately so we can protect affected captains.
